Obituary of Kenneth Martin Masson

Kenneth Martin Masson was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and mentor. He left this world after a hard-fought battle with Leukemia, surrounded by family on the evening of February 10th, 2022, at the age of 68.

 

Ken was born to Philip and Josephine Reno Masson on November 8th, 1953, he is one of four siblings. Kenneth grew up in Detroit and at age 16 achieved scouting’s highest rank, becoming an Eagle Scout. After graduating from Grosse Point North High School, Kenneth joined the United States Marine Corps. Stationed in San Diego California he proudly served his county with the rank of Lance Corporal for 2 years. When he returned to Detroit, he married Deborah Marozi and raised their two daughters: Lisa and Christina. In 2002, Kenneth married Tara and raised her two daughters, Jessica, and Olivia, and welcomed Anthony in 2007. Through growing and guiding his family, he committed his career to the trucking industry, mentored many employees and always provided steadfast wisdom.

 

Ken is survived by his beautiful wife, Tara. He was a proud father to five wonderful children: Lisa (Frank) Marra, Christina (J.J.) Masson, Jessica (Alan) Knop, Olivia (Joseph) Crum and Anthony Masson, two grandchildren Anthony and Josephine Marra. Along with brother Nickolas Masson, and sisters Kathy (Richard) Cassabon and Deborah (Michael) Tremblay as well as many loved nieces and nephews.

 

An open visitation will be held on Wednesday February 16th, from 4:00-8:00 PM located at Borek Jennings Funeral home in Hamburg, Michigan. The following day, Thursday February 17th, there will be a funeral mass at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. We hope you will join to celebrate and remember Ken’s life.
