I first met Chuck in Cub Scouts, his mom was our Den mother. Oh what fun we had at the Weston home! Our paths did not cross very much after grade school. I also worked at BCBS for a while but in a different area. Our 50th high school class reunion is coming up and I find out now that we will not be seeing him, as well as some other friends at the gathering. I wish it were not so.

As a fellow Brewer' and teammate, it was a pleasure to play with Chuck, not against him. A true friend to all. He will be missed greatly.

Mary, Erin and Michelle - I worked with Chuck at Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for many years. He was a great friend and boss! I saw him at some U of M hockey games, and he always had a smile and good stories to tell. He hired me immediately when I was trying to escape another department. He started Code 13, i.e. when one of us in the dept had a bad day, we called a Code 13 - and most went to the local bar for a few drinks after work! Next day, we were ready to start all over again!!! Chuck, I know you have some good hockey stories to tell God! He'll welcome you and laugh all over heaven! Art Seidler

Erin and Michele, Was just watching a dvd of x-mas spent at your house many years back. All the girls were little and putting on a show of course. What good times our family has had! Your dad had such a great sense of humor and I'll never be able to look at a pumpkin pie again without thinking of him. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm here if you need anything. Love, Carly xo

Dear Chuck, You were the cool cousin. The one with the hot cars and the James Dean persona. It was the 60s and you were the man. College, the Army, and that smokin Barracuda. I remember. It was the summer of 74. The Weston family picnic in Yale. You tossed me the keys to your Porsche and said Have fun. Well, I did just that Chuck. Had it up past three digits on a back country road, and I want to thank you again for that wonderful moment in my life. I remember. It was the summer of 86. You, Uncle Bob, my Dad and I in dense fog on Lake Huron trying to catch fish. The chance of being rammed by an ore freighter in that pea soup didnt concern us, because I dont think we stop laughing long enough to think about it. I remember. I am sorry your gone Chuck. I wish you didnt get that terrible illness. I wanted more times to remember, as we all do. But the ones I now have will always be around, and forever in my mind you will always be driving that smokin Barracuda. Love Dave

Michelle & Erin, it will be the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter. Although it is hard right now, it will be the memories of these things that help to push away the pain and bring the smiles back again. You are in my prayers. With many loving memories Olivia

I worked with Chuck for many years. We shared many stories. I would sit in his office and he would talk about the time he spent at Allen Park High School, all the hockey teams he played on from the 30+ to 50+ leagues and the tournaments he played in. He loved his daughters very much. He was such a jokester, always had a joke to tell or show me and we would just laugh and laugh. He had a picture of a white house with turrets in his office that he loved. I remember this because it was the exact house my daughter wanted to have built some day. He will be missed by so many. Anyone who knew Chuck has such great memories of him. My condolences to Erin and Michelle.

It was the end of freshman year at UW-Madison. Erin and I were in the same calculus class (taught by an unseemingly but extremely evil professor) and trying desparately to absorb all we could for our final exam to redeem our grades. Mr. Weston came to visit right before this dreaded test and with him he brought all the required study materials to ensure success- many bags of chips and caffeine. (In fact, he was the one that introduced me to my favorties diet cherry coke and baked sour cream and cheddar ruffles. I couldn't believe I lived without these before he came!) He laid them out in our study room. It looked like Christmas morning. It was amazing! Exactly what we needed! I didn't get the chance to spend a lot of time with Mr. Weston but this story and the friendship I have with his daughter make me extremly grateful to him.

Chuck will well be remembered by all his teamates on The Mt. Clemens Brewers Hockey Club. After his initial bout with cancer, I got to know him, off the ice, as well. He was a good man and a man of his word. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

My sincerest condolences to the entire WestonRowe family! There are indeed no words to describe the devestation that has touched your family; just as there are no words that may convey the most sincerest of compassion to your loss. All I can offer is my heartfelt, yet small, understanding of what it feels like to lose a piece of your heart! Always here and always praying for each of you! All my love, Brigette

We met Chuck several times through a mutual friend. Chuck and his family had always made us feel as if we were part of their family and we will always be greatful for that. Several years had passed and circumstances had brought Chuck and I together, first as a care giver, which quickly became a friendship. I enjoyed all his stories about his time in Italy, in the service, his days working on a horse ranch, the trips with his daughters Michelle and Erin, all the cars he has owned,(he could tell you what car he was driving on any given trip or vacation). He had a wonderful sense of humor, sometimes on the sarcastic side but always funny even when he was not feeling well. I will miss him greatly and it was an honor to be able to spend the last year with him. With Love Paul Cornett and Family
