Obituary of Glenna K. Long

Glenna Keeney Long November 23, 1929 - April 14, 2021 Glenna Keeney Long passed away peacefully on April 14th, 2021 with her two children, David Long and Rebecca Gahman by her side. She was born in Westerville Ohio and graduated from Otterbein University with Art & Drama Majors. She moved to Detroit Michigan in 1951 with her then husband Dave Long and raised her two children. In 1988 she met the love of her life, Dave Lonier and they were together until her death. She was a gifted ceramist and an avid gardener and became a Certified Advanced Master Gardener. She started her own company called the Golden Toad where she sold her produce in Auburn Hills. She also ran the kitchen herb garden for Meadowbrook Hall where she was a docent as well. Before that she was the House Manager for the Youth Theater at the Detroit Institute of Arts. She was an avid reader and had a love for classical music often attending the symphony. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh which she did often. She is survived by her spouse Dave Lonier, her two children, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her Celebration of Life will be TBA this summer.
