Obituary of Karen Kay Masseth

It is with deep sadness to announce the passing of Karen Kay Masseth on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Karen was born August 26, 1944, to the late Joseph and Dorothy Spiro.

In her final days, she was surrounded by the love of her family. In the past few years, Karen was able to show those around her what it takes to persevere during challenging times, how to stay positive, and show gratitude for love and friendship. Karen was an avid sports fan always cheering on the local teams.  She loved reading and reality court tv shows, along with LIVE PD. We will miss her dearly and will honor her life through the memories we treasure. May she rest in peace and find great joy in the afterlife.

Karen is survived by her supportive husband, Dan; her son Noah (Audra) Felice, Stepmother to Cora Vollmar, and Stephanie Masseth. Grandmother to Joey (Alexxis) Felice, Jenna (Camden) King, Justin Felice, Justin and Dalton Vollmar. Great Grandmother to Cayden and Charlotte Felice. Karen is survived by her brothers Brent Spiro and Dean (Jenny) Spiro, and her sisters Peggy Spiro and Lynn Nardini.  Karen is predeceased by her sister Priscilla Burdo-Zweng.

We would especially like to thank the ProMedica of Sterling Heights staff and members of ProMedica Hospice who provided their expertise and exceptional support to Karen in her final days. The family will hold a private ceremony and celebration of life with close family and friends in 2023.
