Mr. Marsalese was a joy to be around. He always made sure you were comfortable in his home and if you weren't he would figure out what he needed to do to make sure you were by the end of your stay. There was never a time I didn't leave the Marsalese household hungry either. He always made extra food for Benny, Charlotte and Dom's friends whenever we came over and I made sure to take full advantage of the gesture he made. I was appreciative and grateful of those plates because there were many times where I didn't have food to eat at home. Thank you for those plates and thank you for making me feel welcomed in your home every single time I came over, Mr. Marsalese! You are missed by all! My love, prayers and condolences to the Marsalese family.

I will always remember dear Sal. As my husband would say “Sally my pally!” May God be with everyone realizing this great loss. Love to all.

So very sorry for this loss of Sal. What a happy, kind guy I remember well in high school and beyond. He always asked me for a Tiger pocket size schedule that Shroh’s put out back in the early 70’s. My dad worked for Strohs and had those schedules to hand out. Sal loved his sports. Anyone who knew him, he left a positive impression! RIP, Sal, who is one of my best friends, Diana’s, cousin and neighbor! From - Karen (Slongo) Croly

My brother Salvatore had a gregarious personality. People were naturally attracted to him. As Benny said it “he had a way of lighting up a room.” He made sure that he spent some time with everybody in the room. And when it was your turn you knew that he was genuinely interested in what you had to say. He made you feel like you were the only person in the room. It’s an honor to be referred to as your brother, Sal. Rest In Peace.
