She taught for many years in the Detroit Public Schools, after earlier careers with the National Maritime Union and in social work. She had a lifelong passion for politics and travel, shared by her late husband, Richard Fox. She also loved theater, restaurant dinners, and social gatherings with friends and family. She is survived by her sons Bill (Kimery Campbell) and Dorr (Tim Theriault); her three beloved grandchildren, Gaelan, Austen, and Kye Campbell-Fox; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to Freedom House Detroit, 1777 N Rademacher St, Detroit, MI 48209, or HAVEN of Oakland County, 801 Vanguard Drive, Pontiac, MI 48341.
