Obituary of Sandra Faith Griggs

Sandra (Sandy) Faith Griggs née Ross, 71, of Warren passed away Friday, April 16, 2021. Sandy was born in Detroit, Michigan February 7, 1950 to George and Marjorie Ross. While she was not wealthy or famous and did not travel broadly or move in fancy circles, she lived a life that she loved. She grew things in the dirt and made things with her hands. She found love, raised a family, and lived to see her grandchildren grow. She was a waitress and a teacher, a gardener and a rabbit breeder, a weaver and a spinner, a knitter and crocheter, and at the end, a maker of soap. Throughout her life, she liked to keep busy, whether with her work and hobbies or caring for her family and home. She loved her family and her friends and was loved in return. All in all, pretty good as such things go. She is survived by her sons: Vern Herberg, Nathan Paquette, and Jay Griggs; her adored grandsons: Thomas Griggs and Aiden Griggs; her siblings Michael Ross, Barbara Kneupp, Joey Frezza, and John Frezza; her neighbor of nearly 50 years, Dottie Baillargeon for whom the family will be forever grateful; and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-five years, Michael Griggs, her mother and step-father Marjorie and Leo Frezza, her father George Ross and her sister Pamela DeCaussin. Per her wishes, there was no ceremony or much ado. She was cremated, her ashes mixed and scattered with her husband, Michael’s. May their energy and elements renew growing things for as long as the sun shines. She will be missed.
