Bendelow, William, Age 90, September 22, 2007. Survived by dear wife Eleanor and loving daughter Lynda. Beloved Grandfather of Elyse (Jeff), Jill, and Lauren. Survived by many nieces and nephews. William worked for the City of Detroit in the Building and Safety Department where he was responsible for bringing St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Greektown, up to code. A proud Veteran of WWII, he flew P-47's with the Army Air Corps. William was as an accomplished skier and dancer who loved to people watch at Detroit's street fairs, concerts, and festivals. Visitation on Wednesday, Sept. 26th from 3-7 pm & Memorial Service, 7pm at Harris Funeral Home 15451 Farmington Road, Livonia MI 48154. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Alzheimer's Association of Michigan - 20300 Civic Center Drive, Suite 100 Southfield MI 48076 or the Ted Lindsay Foundation for Autism Research - 1819 E Big Beaver Rd Ste 200 , Troy, MI 48083.
