Susan Theresa Figurski

Susan Theresa Reaume Figurski, age 69, of Brighton, MI, passed away on June 3rd, 2024. She was born in Detroit on October 18th, 1954 to Dorothy Moffatt and adopted by father Nelson Reaume. She found work as a security guard of the federal reserve, as a secretary, in retail, also as a devoted homemaker and loving mother. Married to Wayne Schick, she bore a daughter, Emily Schick. Susan took special joy in her role as a mother, and built lasting memories with her only child. She remarried to Micheal Figurski and also welcomed his daughters Michelle, Mary, and Meagan into her life. Susan was passionate about the local wildlife, her pets, movies from the 50s and 60s, and is fondly remembered as being a lover of a wide variety of music on full volume. Susan was the kind of person who always saw getting lost as an adventure. She was fiercely dedicated to her family, an avid collector of memories, and proud of her lineage. She is preceded by her husband Micheal Figurski with whom she can reunite with in Heaven. She is survived by daughter Emily Schick, brother Bruce Reaume and wife Tamara, brother Stephen Reaume and wife Analyn, her three step-daughters Meagan Figurski, Mary Leicht, Michelle Swarthout, nephews Nicklas Nelson, Nathan Wendell, and George Ian Reaume. Services are to be conducted in private. Memorial donations in Susan’s name can be made to your favorite animal rescue or wildlife rehabilitation center.
