Sue A. Menzies

Sue Ann Menzies died Friday, February 3, 2023, at Beaumont Hospital in Taylor, MI. She was born December 21, 1951, in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Arthur L. and Helen I. (Harris) Barnes. On September 15, 1973, she married Ronald Menzies. Sue enjoyed camping with her husband and grandchildren. She was a member of Stony Creek United Methodist Church. Sue was a life-long Meijer employee, retiring in 2009 with 33 years of service.

A beloved mother and grandmother, Sue will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her children David (Kathrin) Menzies and Jennifer (William) Korte; six grandchildren: Jax, Lily, Liam, Brennan, Kalli, and Charlotte; brother Charles (Lenora) Barnes, sister Marilyn Setzer, and sister-in-law Connie Barnes; several nieces and nephews; and, close family friends Chad, Kela, and Tyler McDonald. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald and her brother Robert.

A memorial service will be held on February 24, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at Janowiak Funeral Home in Ypsilanti. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
