Stephen Wesley Trask

February 11, 1982 — October 10, 2024

Stephen Wesley Trask passed away on October 10, 2024, after a long battle with Huntington's Disease.

Born with a love for the farm, Stephen valued his time caring for animals and proudly participated in 4-H, where he won numerous awards for his show animals. Family traditions and holidays, especially Christmas, held a special place in Stephen's heart. He also loved spending time with his grandparents, visiting them often and creating lasting memories.

His passion for learning was evident from a young age and by fourth grade, he knew he wanted to become a lawyer. Stephen excelled in debate throughout high school and college, ultimately earning a bachelor’s degree from Liberty University and a Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law.

His faith and commitment to following Jesus as his savior, was his source of motivation and guidance as he pursued his legal aspirations. He chose to be baptized as a young adult to demonstrate his desire to follow Jesus.

Before his health declined, he was a passionate legal advocate for vulnerable populations and published an article advocating for the rights of unborn children. He was published in the Chapman Law Review, and he was appointed a Blackstone Fellow for his commitment to Christian truth, the rule of law, and safeguarding our alienable rights. His commitment to justice will be remembered by all who knew him.

In his final act of kindness, Stephen offered himself as an organ donor, to bring hope to those in need of transplants and their families.

Stephen is loved and will be missed by all!

Memorial donations can be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America in memory of Stephen and those who have battled this horrific disease.
