It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Shirley M. Coster. Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband L. Carl Coster and her son Glen. She was the dear mother of Celine Forsythe (Mike), Ann Weiss (Terry), Larry Coster (Cyndy), Gerry Coster (Judy), John Coster and Jeannette Smith (Tim). Shirley had 22 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grand Children.
Shirley was a cofounder of the Widowed Friends Ministry (2002) which operates with the Archdiocese of Detroit.
An active, giving woman, the most important thing in Shirleys life was her family. She was proud of her family and loved being "Mom", "Grandma", "Great Grandma", and "Aunt Shirley". She especially delighted the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She played an important part in each of their lives making each grandchild feel that they were her absloute "Favorite".
A memorial service will be held at St. Hugo of the Hills Catholic Church on Thursday, December 3 at 11:00 AM. The service will be live streamed at www.sthugo.org. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Shirleys honor to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
