Sandra Jane Kernohan

Sandra Jane Kernohan, age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by family members on April 10, 2023 in Canton Michigan due to heart failure and Alzheimer’s. She was born on August 27th, 1936 in Detroit Michigan to Robert and Beatrice Summerlee. Sandy married the love of her life, Edward Kernohan, in October of 1958 who preceded her in death in 1982.

Sandy and Ed started a beautiful family of 5 Daughters in Livonia and lived in Northville Michigan for 53 years. Sandy was a dedicated Mother and survivor of raising 5 girls alone. She loved to do crafts, visit with friends and family, travel and was a parent to a yellow Labrador, Murphy, a.k.a. Murman.

Sandy is survived by her brother Bob (Sue) Summerlee of Gaylord, MI. Sandy’s children Jennifer (Matt) McLaughlin of Onaway, MI, Sally (Ken) Lump of Temperance, MI, Carol (Don) Schippa of Westland, MI, Molly (Scott) Vachon of Bay City, MI, Kate (John) Espenlaub of Whitmore Lake, MI. Grand Children Meghan (Alexander Wirth) McLaughlin and Molly (Adam Zahra) McLaughlin, Kaileigh (Max Hartman) Schippa, Michele (Mike) Bellmore, Karlee Vachon and Nicholas (Courtney) Vachon, Grace Lump, Rachel and Sarah Espenlaub and many nieces and nephews

All of whom she loved and touched deeply.
