Salvatore John Marsalese

"Savlatore John Marsalese, 65, of Northville passed away Wednesday, September 8th after a 3 month battle with cancer. He was born on April 17, 1956 in Detroit, MI to the late Bernard and the late Marie Anne Marsalese. He is survived by Tina (Koester), his wife and childhood friend, sons Bernard and Dominic, and daughter Charlotte. He also leaves behind a brother Dominic (Audrey) Marsalese, and many beloved family members. He was preceded in death by his sister Christine.

If the kitchen is the heart of a home, Sal was the pulse. He was a phenomenal cook, and happiest when feeding family and friends.

He loved the game of golf, and his sanctuary was the course regardless of the season or weather conditions.

Most of all, Sal was an incredibly loving husband and father. He had a specialty for taking care of others, and making everyone feel both at home and at their best. In the words of a longtime friend, “he served as a beacon for happiness, positive energy, friendship, and love.” We will miss his unwavering support, and most of all his compassionate, gentle heart.

A celebration of Sal’s life will take place in the spring of 2022, details to follow early next year."
