Raymond Neil Slater

Raymond Neil Slater, 83, passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A devoted husband, he shared 64 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Patricia.

Ray leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication through his five children: Antoinette (Beth), James (Lucy), Andrea, Aaron, and Melissa. He was a cherished grandfather to Tyler, Alexa, Maxwell, Allyson, Antonio, Mallory, Riley, Audrey, and Lillian, and a proud great-grandfather to Mason, Lincoln, and Kinsley.

A skilled draftsman, Ray dedicated his career to working in various shops, a profession he truly enjoyed. Following his retirement, he continued to stay active by taking a part-time position at Beacon Cove Marina, where he found joy in being near the water.

Ray was a passionate sports enthusiast, spending over 60 years as a devoted Detroit Lions season ticket holder, always holding onto hope for his team. He also had a deep love for golf and took great pride in hosting family gatherings, especially during holidays and summer backyard barbecues.

Ray’s warmth, dedication, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed.
