Obituary of Maryion Thompson

Maryion Huff Thompson was born on January 14, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois and died on Thursday December 19, 2019 in Clinton Twp, Michigan. She was predeceased by her brother Maurice and her former husband Morris. She leaves behind her beloved children Pamela Hampton and Peter Thompson (wife Rayna), her grandson William Hampton (wife Elizabeth), great grandchildren Azariah and Micaiah, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

She worked as a nurse and would come home with many stories of the need to be safe so as not to end up in the hospital. Maryion worked at Harper Hospital and retired from Rehabilitation Institute. Even after working all day, she would fix us a full home cooked meal. She was an inspiration for her daughter (Pam) to go into medicine.

She always appreciated the Bible and was baptized as one of Jehovahs Witnesses on May 29, 1988. She served faithfully for over 30 years helping many to study the Bible.

Maryion enjoyed growing various house plants and kept a careful schedule on the calendar for watering them. She also enjoyed the "Motown" sound and shared plenty of good music with her family and friends. She inspired us with the love of "old" music like Arthur Drydock and the Ink Spots to name a few. When needed, she came to their aid to help with health issues. Maryion was also a survivor of several types of cancer for over 50 years with just surgery and no chemo or radiation treatment. Maryion joyously looked forward to and talked about the day when there would be no more pain and suffering as promised in Revelation 21:1-5. She now rests peacefully in Jehovahs memory, waiting for the promised paradise earth with everlasting life in perfect health.

Love and thanks to family and friends for your support and condolences from Peter and Pamela.
