Mary was raised on the west side of Detroit and attended Christ the King Grade School, Immaculata High School (graduated1970) and Shaw College, (Med tech certificate 1971) all in Detroit Michigan. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Livonia for most of her career, initially as an EKG technician and then trained and worked there doing vascular ultrasound studies until she retired.

Growing up she loved to play and was quite the baseball player in the neighborhood, and on school teams. Mary loved to camp and travel and made many trips to Longaberger in Newark, Ohio with her friends. Mary also sewed – (fast as the stories go) and made lovely quilts with and for friends. She loved cooking and all kinds of music. Mary loved to garden and has planted flowers & plants for friends and family all over the Detroit area. Her friends and their families were immensely important to her & she felt their love every day.

In lieu of sending flowers ….. plant something in your garden in memory of Mary. Spread kindness & love and make someone feel that they matter every day because that’s what Mary would do. Donations may be made to Angela Hospice, Livonia MI.
