Mary, age 92, of Novi, Michigan, peacefully passed away on August 1, 2024.  She was born in Sturgis, Michigan to Leland and Pansy (Fox) on August 6, 1931.
Mary graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan with a bachelor's degree in education. She taught elementary school before dedicating her time to raising a family.  Mary enjoyed playing golf, bowling, volunteering, playing bridge, solving crosswords, and reading.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Charles; children, Steven (Donna), Kay (Mark) Carpenter, William (Marci); grandchildren, Matthew (Kara), Jacob (Katie) Carpenter, Daniel (Natasha) Carpenter, Catie (Chris) Meier, Alex (Alexandra), William (Stephanie), Maxwell (Molly), Casie, and Jack and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Gloria (Duane) Wagner.

Thankfully, her entire family gathered on August 3 to celebrate her beautiful life!  There will be no formal funeral services, she will be buried at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis, Michigan.  Donations in her honor can be made to Orchard United Methodist Church at orchardumc.org or mailed to:
