Obituary of Margaret Ann Greenshields

Now together forever

Margaret (Marge) Ann Greenshields from West Bloomfield passed away on November 9, 2020 at the age of 93. Born on October 23rd, 1927 to John and Catherine Gassel in Detroit Michigan, the older sister to her two younger brothers, John Jr. and Joseph. Marge graduated high school in her native Detroit and soon after lost her mother to illness. After graduation, Marge met and fell in love with John Greenshields, a Corpsman in the Navy during the Second World War serving in the Pacific. From their marriage came their two joys, their sons, Craig and Clark.

Marge enjoyed a full, adventurous life. She volunteered at Pontiac State Hospital, working to enrich the lives of patients in her community. At a local doctors office, she worked as an office assistant, and then she began working in real estate. A passionate realtor, Marge forged a reputation as an expert and successful agent with Real Estate One. With her husband, she traveled the world, seeing the ancient ruins in Greece, the blue waters of the Caribbean, and the lush landscapes of Hawaii. Marge had an eye for fashion her whole life and loved to indulge in the latest styles up until her parting. Always poised and elegant, Marge knew how to enter a room.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband, John A Greenshields (July 17, 2012). She is survived by her son, Craig Greenshields and wife, Judi, and son Clark Greenshields and wife Tammie. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Craigs daughters Corrie and husband Bryan Flietstra, Claire and husband Josh Magill, and Clarks son Ryan and wife Morgan, and daughter Sara. Marge, also, leaves three great -grandchildren Kaleb and Jaycob Flietstra and Jason Greenshields. All whom she adored.
