Kenneth (Ken) passed away peacefully amongst family on a sun drenched spring afternoon. Ken took great pleasure living and enjoying the pleasure found in the simpler aspects of life. Ken was most often at peace while on adventurist walks with his beloved dogs Trixie, Tootsie and Freddie. Ken marveled at the change of the Michigan seasons often remarked these as his favorite times to spend outdoors. After a vigorous walk, Ken would reward himself with a glass of cool water and prepare himself a simple meal for sustenance.

Ken was an avid fan of all musical genres holding special reverence for his favorites Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan. Ken had an insatiable love of history and literature that was never satisfied. Each room of his home was a library of hundreds of well read books. Ken also was fond of baseball and was an avid fan of his hometown heroes, on the radio, television , or in person at the stadium, Ken loved cheering on his beloved Detroit Tigers.

Ken lived as a very private person who silently appreciated the kindness of others. Ken expressed his greatest blessing and fortune was the love of his mother and father, brothers and his extended family.

Ken was proud to have spent many years with friends and associates of the Kroger Company, taking immense pride in his work knowing a job wasn’t worth doing unless it was well done.

Kenneth expresses his gratitude to all of the medical professionals who provided him with five years of comfortable treatment after receiving a diagnosis of polycystic kidney disease.
