Judy Halverson

Judy Almina Halverson.  Age 77.

It is with full hearts that we announce the passing of Judy Almina Halverson of Salem Township, MI. Judy went home to be with the Lord on September 2, 2024 at 77 years young, surrounded by the love of her family.  Judy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jon Walter Halverson, her son Mark (Laura), daughter Lisa Evans (Aaron), and eight grandchildren, Titus, Avery (engaged to Matthew), Noah, Andrew, Reuben, Eli, Thomas, and Joshua.  Judy was preceded in death by her parents Edward Louis Paulson and Almina Clara Paulson (Gendreau).

Judy married her collage sweetheart Jon, shortly before graduating from the University of Minnesota in 1969 with her B.A. in education. After teaching for 3-1/2 years, she devoted herself to raising her children in the love of the Lord, assisting with their education, and keeping home. In her life she found joy in spending time with her grandchildren, family gatherings, boating, playing with her dogs, just relaxing with her husband at her lake cabin or watching a good movie. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, garage sales (her favorite place to shop), a good joke, and singing worship songs. She had a tender, welcoming heart, making others feel like family.

She will be dearly missed, however we look forward to sharing all eternity with her in the presence of Jesus.

Judy's Memorial Service will be held on October 26th, 2024, 11:00 am at the Risen Christ Lutheran Church, 46250 Ann Arbor Rd, Plymouth, MI  48170.
