John Lee Nelson

John Lee Nelson, son of the late John P. Nelson and Ruth Fullwood Nelson, was born on October 4, 1950. He was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in Inskter, Michigan. John married Carolyn Yax on July 3, 1969 and they were together until her death in 2018. After spending the first few adult years in Westland, Michigan, he (and his family) moved to Taylor, Michigan where he lived for 50 years. John worked for General Motors for 30 years before enjoying his retirement. John passed away on January 18, 2025 at Corewell Taylor Hospital after suffering from a brain bleed. John was also preceded in death by his sisters Linda and Marilyn. He will be loved forever by his brother Kenneth (Mariline) Nelson, children Laura and Michael Nelson, grandchildren Ryan (Kerri) Dent, Molly (Andrew) Ennis, Collin Leduc and Nathan Nelson, and his great-grandchildren Adeline, Kaden, Rylie, Emalee and Olivia.
