John J. Dombles

John Dombles, of Livonia, Michigan, age 78,John passed away peacefully on August 3rd, 2023 at his home after battling kidney disease.

John was born on February 6, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late Alphonse and Pauline (Burg) Dombles.

Beloved husband of Janice (Erickson) Dombles for 45 years. Loving father ofElizabeth (Vince DeLuca) Dombles, Kathrine Dombles and Joe (Samantha Goralski) Dombles. Dearest grandfather of Natalie Dombles.

John was an electriction for Electric Motor and Contracting for 20 plus years starting in about 1980. He loved Nascar and Formula 1 racing.He loved to cook and learned to cook from his grandma.

At the age of 50, John suffered a heart attack, changed careers and decided to go to Madonna University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in social work. This was his true calling. John worked for Brighton Center for Recovery for 15 years plus as a Social Worker.

John was loved by many for his unique personality and quirky sense of humor.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburch Rd., Livonia, Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 11:00 AM with visitation starting at 10:30 AM.
