Obituary of James J. Shea

James Joel Shea, of Ypsilanti, Michigan. James (Jim) was born in Bangor, Michigan on March 27, 1938 and passed on April 23, 2020 at the age of 82.

He is the son of James Joseph and Elsie Louis. His surviving and beloved children: Jacqueline, Jennifer Macek (husband Dr. Dan Macek), James Joel, and Alan Hayden (wife Caroline). Proud Grandfather of: Alexander, Reese, David, Ryan, and Matthew. Jim was the widower of Margert Hayden-Shea. Jim had four sisters that he adored: Margaret Wilkie (passed), Iona Francis Shea, Mary Stowe (widow of David), and Eileen. He leaves behind many cherished: nephews, nieces, cousins and other family members, and friends.

Jim achieved a Bachlors degree in Science and a Masters degree in Business from the Eastern Michigan University. His passions of exploration and experience were shared with many. He had great enthusiasm in his interests of: mining the desert, photography, collections, and conversation. An accomplished man in living life happily.

James will be dearly missed. God bless his soul.
