Obituary of Elsie Gertrude Brownell

Elsie Gertrude Brownell (Nee: Wenz) age 94 was born January 20th, 1925 in Detroit, Mi. Elsie spent her last years residing in Warren and went to be with God on May 12th, 2019. Elsie spent her life as a wife, a mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was gifted in sewing, crocheting and knitting. Whenever she could, she enjoyed going to the casinos and had numerous trips to Vegas in her life. Elsie enjoyed spending her golden years with her adopted family. She had many years living and loving with her (adopted) daughter and best friend, Marlene Buffmyer (Michael) and all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren in that family. She loved nothing more than being gathered around the table with good food, a cold Budweiser and all of us telling stories and laughing. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Jack, as well as her children Dennis and Sharon and her grandson, Drew. She is survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren with a special fondness for Shawn Gray who lived with her for many years. Elsie passed quietly in her sleep at St. Anthonys Healthcare where she has been lovingly cared for these last few years. Elsie was loved by both of her families and will be missed by all.

Elsies cremains will be present at her memorial service on Friday, May 31st, 2019 at 9:00am.
