Obituary of Eleanor Joyce Perry

Perry, Eleanor "Joyce" of Clio, age 92, passed away of natural causes Monday, April 27, 2020. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. Joyce was born August 20, 1927 in Cheboygan, Michigan to the late Clyde and Cynthia (Galloway) Birdsall. A graduate of Caro High School, Joyce went on to work many years for the United States Post Office. She retired from her position as Postmaster of the Flushing, Michigan branch office in 1989. Joyce married Ronald "Jack" Johnson Perry on January 19, 1974. They were married for almost 19 years before he preceded her in death on December 10, 1992. She was a member of Mayfair Bible Church. Her quiet, yet kind and hardworking ways will live on in the hearts of her family for generations to come. Joyce dearly loved her family and dogs. She loved to bake, spoiling her family with baked goods often. She enjoyed bingo, knitting, traveling, reading, cards, puzzles and old Classic movies. Left to cherish her loving memory are her children Allen (Kathy) Spaulding of Mancelona, Cindy (Dan) Kennedy of Mt. Morris, Lori (Rick) Weiss of Mt. Morris, and Leslie Dobromil of Flushing. Joyce was the loving grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren with the 11th on the way and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband she was welcomed home to heaven by her son-in-law, Dan Kennedy and her four sisters - Shirley Wright, Evelyn Rushlo, Esther Collon, and Dolores Shannon. Her loving ways will have a lasting impact on her loved ones and she will be greatly missed.
