Duane E. Goerke, age 55, October 27, 2018, of Madison Heights. Duane was born on August 8, 1963, in Indian River, MI, to Donald L. and Donna M (Jacobson) Goerke. Beloved husband of Virginia. Loving father of Donald (Christine Koekemoer) Goerke and Jacob Goerke. Dear son of Donna M. Marshall and the late Donald Goerke. Grandfather of Angelus Caducio and Lilith Goerke. Brother of Deanna (Frank Derey) Avery and the late Donald. Uncle of Carl John Goerke, Marissa Avery (Austin Cirac). Step-brother of Debra Moran, Donna Genther, Doug Marshall, Denise Cunningham, Dave Marshall and Dale Marshall. Brother-in-law of Valerie Hill, Rachel Hill, Susan Lashuay, Charles Hill, Leah Hill Carroll, Victoria Meyers and Jane Williamson. Duane was a wonderful husband, son, father, and family member to all his family . He loved building with Lego and collecting Matchbox Cars and Tonka Vehicles. Duane enjoyed Old Time Radio Shows, and liked traveling with his job and meeting many new people, most of whom became friends.

An internment will take place 3PM Friday, November 9 at East Plains Cemetery in Pewamo, MI. A celebration of life will take place at the Active Seniors Center in Madison Heights, MI from 1-6PM Saturday, November 10. Also a celebration of life will take place in Indian River, MI sometime this spring.
