Donna J. Reeves

Donna (Meece) Reeves, 83, of Novi, Michigan died peacefully on February 18, 2025.

She was born in Detroit to Byron and Mary Meece.   She was a graduate of Detroit’s Mackenzie High School.  After her children started school, Donna graduated from Oakland Community College with a nursing degree.  She worked in a private cardiac practice and then at Botsford and Providence Hospitals during her nursing career.  In retirement, Donna volunteered at Common Ground, Ferncare Free Clinic and Cabrini Clinic in Corktown.  Her greatest joys were creating quilts, traveling and her dog, Cosmo.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Hugo Reeves, and her son, Daniel Reeves.  She is survived by her brother Howard (Sharon) Meece, her daughter, Colleen (Dan) Robar and son Tim Reeves.  She had two grandchildren, Jackson (Janine) Robar and Hannah (Troy Redmond) Robar.  She recently celebrated the birth of her first great-grandchild Rory Robar.

A memorial service will be held soon.
