Obituary of David Alan Sauls

David Alan Sauls, age 63, of Livonia, Michigan. David was born July 6, 1955, in Detroit, MI and died December 20, 2018 in Detroit, MI. Beloved son of Gordon and Virginia Sauls of Livonia, MI. Beloved older brother of Brian (Charlene) Sauls of Harrisburg, PA., and Eric (Erin) Sauls of Highland, MI. David leaves behind his loving parents, his brothers and their wives, two nephews and two nieces, and dear sweetheart Sandy Foisy. David worked for many years with JL Hudson Co. at the old Dearborn headquarters in the security department and then finished his working career with National Ordinance in Livonia until his retirement 7 years ago. David graduated from Livonia Bentley High School in 1974, and was involved with many school activities, but loved helping to run the sports teams the most. Following high school, he attended Schoolcraft College in Livonia. David loved watching and following his home sports teams, the Tigers and Lions - he was always a dedicated sports fan, and also loved bowling. He played for JL Hudsons softball league during the years he worked there. He was an avid baseball and football card collector as well. David also had a love for automobiles, and was a huge Elvis Presley fan - brothers David and Brian saw Elvis perform live back in 1976. His genuine, good-natured and lighthearted personality, and positive attitude will be forever missed, as will his corny jokes. David was loved by many, and will forever be remembered as a very genuine person, warm, generous, and enthusiastic son, brother, uncle, sweetheart, and friend to many. He touched the hearts of all who knew him.
