Obituary of Christopher John Drake

On Sunday, June 30, 2019, Christopher Drake, loving husband and father, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 55 in a motorcycle accident in Michigan.

Christopher was born in Anderson, IN on March 24, 1964 to the late Dr. James and Judith Drake. He married Cheryl Harrison in November of 1995 and raised three daughters, Catherine, Judith, and Samantha.

He attended Anderson High School and went on to graduate from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. He worked at Abbott Laboratories for 30 years, most recently as a Manager of Quality Engineering.

He is survived by his wife and daughters; his brothers; Richard (Teresa), Terry (Brenda), and Michael (Beverly); and nieces and nephews Patrick, Sara, Erin, Rachel, and Alex. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.

A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday July 20, 2019 from 10 - 2:00 pm with a service at 1:30 pm at Ringa Funeral Home. 122 S. Milwaukee Ave Lake Villa, IL

Chris was the kind of person who enjoyed spontaneity and living life to the fullest. He enjoyed going on camping trips, hunting, scuba diving, and motorcycle rides, as well as spending time with his family and friends. He shall be missed.
