Catherine Diedrich
Age 86, was called home to be with the lord on Saturday, July 14 2007. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt . She was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1920. She was a devoted wife to the late Edward Diedrich and mother to the late Gerald Diedrich. Catherine enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and working in the yard. She was very close with her two sisters (Anna Patrick and Eva Kleefuss). Catherine and her sisters met every Friday without fail for over 30 years.
After her son's death in 2000 (Gerald Diedrich), Catherine moved to Grand Rapids to be with her grandson and family. She cherished watching her great grandchildren growing up. There was lots of laughs as they were her pride and joy. We will all miss her smiles and contagious laugh. She was the kindest and most good hearted woman we have known because she had always thought of others before herself. She will be forever in our hearts and minds.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, July 29th at 3 p.m., Call Cremation Society of Michigan, 313-839-4100 for further information. A grave side memorial will be held on Monday July 30 at 10 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Please share a memory with Catherine's family in her guestbook.
