Obituary of Carllynn Anne Allen

WARREN, MI -- Carllynn Anne (Gilbo) Allen, age 81, passed away June 24, 2021. She is joining her late husband of 56 years, Charles Allen, who passed away on April 25, 2021. They met working together at Freuhauf Trailer Corporation. Carllynn is survived by her three children Bradley, Ryan, and Toby (Letzring) Allen, and her seven grandchildren Maxwell (16), Aidan (15), Kiera (15), Ava (13), Marah (12), Simon (12), and Leena (6).

Her family and friends will always remember Carllynn’s kindness and compassion. She had a special way of connecting with people, and never hesitated to help a family member or stranger in need, if even to simply listen. She was a true caregiver at heart making sure her loved ones were taken care of, whether it was checking in on relatives and friends, her children, or the selfless sacrifices she made to take care of Charles as his Alzheimer’s progressed. She enjoyed following the activities and accomplishments of her grandchildren. Carllynn was also a true animal lover - she had many dear pets over the years - and took simple joy in feeding birds and squirrels in her front yard. In her early years, she was a talented trumpet player and avid bowler; all of her life she loved fishing, the outdoors, reading, puzzles, theater and music. As the heart of our family, she will be dearly missed by us all, especially at Christmas, her favorite time of the year.
